It's a different root cause.
The stretch build completes all the modules but then breaks on the
template build.
The Ubuntu builds fail on the packaging within the modules. 
Its almost always the case that major (sometimes minor) changes in
Debian builds will break the Ubuntu templates because they arent
incorporated in to the testing structure. So we are always playing catch
up in those circumstances.

The changes in Debian packaging also broke Debian builds. Is your point
one of semantics, or is it a different root cause? (Asking for my own
education, not to nitpick.)

HAS broken the builds because of the changes in debian packaging there.
Im going to fix this.
If you want a Ubuntu template pro tem until the build is fixed, I've

[qubes-users] Installing ubuntu template

I used this idiot's guide to installing an ubuntu template 
(https://www.reddit.com/r/Qubes/comments/5vzg04/idiots_guide_to_installing_qbuntu_ubuntu_1604/)
 and apparently I am an idiot.  I am towards the end where I am installing the 
template using:

qvm-run --pass-io ubuntu-builder 
'cat/home/user/qubes-builder/qubes-src/linux-template-builder/rpm/install-templates.sh'>install-templates.sh

And I am getting the following error:

sh: 
cat/home/user/qubes-builder/qubes-src/linux-template-builder/rpm/install-templates.sh:
 No such file or director

Does anyone know what could be the problem?
