Hmm, HD graphics 2000 looks like old Sandy Bridge, so preliminary HW support should not have any effect in theory. Also, installing a new kernel is not much likely to help (it would be if you had a recent GPU that is too new for the kernel), but you might try it. Eva, what does «sudo rmmod
