Might I assume that in the track properties after the demo song is loaded,
you tabbed over to port and chose Microsoft Wavetable synth? You can reach

Absolutely not!
QWS is totally MIDI only.
So if you have dreams of doing multi-track recording with audio and MIDI, no
kind of raw audio can be edited inside this program.
As to the K2600, can't help you out there.
