Actually, it's just a portable keyboard. Also, a midi interface is a cable with a usb plug on one end and two midi plugs on the other end. Are you using one of these to connect the keyboard to your computer? If so, what brand is your midi interface? This may help me help you. Sent from my

I was disappointed with the MIDI capabilities of some of the Yamaha keyboards. My YPG635, for example, allows for clock synchronization and bulk dumps, but no direct access to the voices or the use of the keyboard. Read the manual, carefully. There are only a few sentences that describe these
