Re: QWS List orchestrating on the computer

2018-04-07 Thread Seth Lowman
The coolsoft Engine has less of a delay problem then does Bassmidi. However,
there is still some latency even with the Coolsoft engine. The best and easiest
way to have a sound source without any delay problems is to use a hardware
synth, like a Yamaha keyboard.

God bless!

RE: QWS List orchestrating on the computer

2018-04-07 Thread Nicole Massey
This all depends on the power of your computer and audio interface. I've gotten
it down to no noticeable latency, along the lines of what you get with most
synthesizers and keyboards with their own sound sources. If you get the buffer
size too low then any software sound source is going to give you stuttering and
glitching, so it's always a bit of a trade-off.

Re: QWS List orchestrating on the computer

2018-04-07 Thread Mohamed Al-Hajamy
Usually the delay is caused by using the default synth in Windows.
Installing a midi driver such as Coolsoft Virtual MIDI Synth and
tweaking its delay value can help. Though with that driver in particular
it may cause a bit of stuttering if it's set to 0.

Re: QWS List orchestrating on the computer

2018-04-06 Thread Lizzie Kazmierski Dunn
Hi.
There's the on-screen keyboard feature, which uses the QWERTY keys for
the different pitches. The only problem is that there's a delay
between when you hit the key and when it sounds, and the keys are laid
out differently so it will take some getting used to.
Thanks,
Lizzie
