Hello R-help team,
I am a R user in China. I just downloaded the latest R which is R2001 for
Windows. This new version can not store Chinese character which the previous
version R 1.9.1 does. Specifically when I enter
>x<-"²âÊÔ"
then type "x", I got
> x
[1] "\262\342\312\324" .
Please kindly give me a clue how to fix it.
