Dear R-sig-ecologists,

There are remaining seats on the plant protection and climate change
related 5th Endure Summer School, Volterra (Italy), 9 - 14 October 2016. It
will focus on 'The role of IPM in mitigating pest development under climate
change – modelling approaches' using R.

The objective of the summer school is to make PhD students meet scientists
who are actively implementing modelling approaches to develop IPM
strategies able to take into account future climate. The programme will
include (1) lectures given by internationally-renowned experts (guest
lecturer Prof. Katia Laval, Emeritus Professor at the Université Pierre et
Marie Curie, Paris), (2) team work to facilitate active participation and
(3) opportunities during the whole week for students to discuss
individually with the lecturers about their PhD project or related
questions.

At the start of the summer school students need to be basic users of R.
