Thanks all. I updated to 3.4.1 and still get NA. So, in-lnline with Peter’s explanation, ii’s OS 10.13. beta specific. However… In this process, I pressed cmd minus to reduce the text size in my R.app console and got this set of warnings, which seem worth passing on as well: 2017-07-21

Hi, On R 3.40, I've been getting some Warnings about timezone, e.g. Warning message: In as.POSIXlt.POSIXct(x, tz) : unknown timezone 'default/Europe/London' But also Sys.timezone returns NA Is this a bug? was there a change in tz moving to 3.4.0? Sys.timezone() [1] NA R version: R
