[Radiant] Rails App and Radiant Together

I have a few complex rails apps where I would like to use Radiant for the static content management and blog. I would like the rails app and radiant to use the same DB and routing. I realize that radiant takes over some of the requests and I would like to know if there is a doc or discussion about

Yeah, not only can a certain filetype have many several filetypes, also depending on the browser used to upload, there's also a 255 char limit on the allowed filetypes field, which can easily fall short. I added a condition to asset.rb, so that you can set a Radiant::Config flag to avoid filetype
