To explain a bit further. You need to install a plugin as well as the
applet. Go to Squeezebox Server on your PC, then go to Settings, then to
Plug-Ins. Find Information Screen and Install it. After a reboot you
will see it listed under Plug Ins. Then go to it's settings and the
configuration is

Strange that the fallback alarm mechanism is tied in with the Radio
popup alarm display/control. There should be distinction between the UI
(which may need to adapt for different types of player), and the alarm
functionality.
It's OK to have that distinction, the main problem is then to
Thanks, I appreciate your suggesting a workaround, am not sure it solves
the problem though, as switching to mysb.com is fine until you try to
play some of my music, at which point, it flicks back to the local
server.
As a quick summary:
- a local SBS maps to a single mysb.com account;

Yes, you are probably right.
I am enjoying my SB Radio so much - I want to have the same options in
every room of the house. Oh well, I guess over time I can purchase
additional radio's, boom's, etc.

I don't mean to pile on, but my Radio reception is about the same as OP.
In the same room as the router (802.11g/WEP 128) it works fine. If I
move it a few rooms over, it won't connect. In the same spot my
wireless laptop has no problem. I am running the current firmware.
There's nothing

Yes, its great fun to use the duet controller (kept in our
kitchen/family room area) to suddenly turn on the squeezebox radio in
our bedroom when

I've seen a lot of references to new firmware but mine still says the
current firmware it has installed is the latest one available and I
installed that back in November when I bought the unit.

You'll need line of sight for that remote (as I believe its IR). The

Quick questions...
* Are the development builds (7.4.2 and 7.5) restricted to devs
beta-users or can anyone install them ?
* The ReadyNAS has its own build of SBS. Is this included in the
nightly builds or do I have to wait until official release ?
* If not restricted, would someone be god

I use Last.fm but I do not Scrobble, can't each player Scrobble if

Or is Scrobbling limited to SBS?
Thanks for your help and input Toby. Am not sure - my guess is that you
will be able to scrobble from a mysb account (hence no issue because you
Nah, post an enhancement request at https://bugs.slimdevices.com/ for
multiple MySB accounts on a single SBS.
Many flip back and forth all the time between SBS and MySB for a number
of reasons. It's pretty painless to do so, maybe takes an extra couple
of seconds to go from MySB to My Music
OK, here's a new one. I updated to 7.5 and now I can't login to MSB.Com
through the SBS. It says invalid SBS.com user name or password. I can
login just fine directly to MSB.com. The problem persists on the radio
itself, when looking in the my apps folder, its says invalid SBS.com
user name

this is not just about scrobbling. It's about stuff like facebook

Cuz you do have an invalid user name with 7.5 :)
7.5 uses a different MySB server, www.test.MySqueezeBox.com
You will have to create a new MySB account on test-MySB and register
your players onto this new account.

Hi,
I'm a proud new user of a Squeezebox Radio.
Unfortunately it doesn't work as expected.
After a few minutes the playback stops and the receive-bar turns into
blue.
The WPA-Wireless connection is still alive, also the WAN-connection of
the router.
The radio only losts the connection to

As a technology, WiFi is very dependent on signal strength, hence
antenna placement can be a big factor. The antennas for the Boom and
