I can confirm that the monday alarm went off for me after not playing
with the radio on sunday when the alarm icon wasnt there.although i
did have server power control plugin running, but it went off which is
great.

If you plan on regularly switching between your Mac and the online
server then adding the "switch to MySB" to your Home Menu is your best
bet.
However, just a general FYI, if your player is not connected to your
local server then simply selecting Internet Radio or My Apps will also
offer a switch
