I am going to have to re-install everything on my pc, so I will
obviously loose LMS. Is there a way of backing up all my pre-sets,
favourites etc. so I can just restore them when I re-install LMS?

Hi,
go to your LMS setting page and look where your settings located. My
settings are under /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/prefs. Save this dir and
copy it back.
I make a backup from the complete /var/lib/squeezeboxserver dir and from
the playlist dir.
