I think I already know the answer to this, but I'd be interested in others experience or ideas! I'm sure you have used internet services in a hotel, the cloud, or similar where you have an open wifi connection, but just need to accept the TsCs or enter a password, so you can use your iphone, pc

If you do not have access to a hard wired ethernet connection (wifi only), you could also check out the Connectify application. This lets you share a wifi connection with just one wifi card. There's a free and paid version available. I would go for the paid as the free has restrictions which
