In the meantime, you can go into options, advanced, power settings which
shows some battery information. Might be worth a look just to compare to
the new pack once it comes in.

Logitech are sending a new battery so I guess I'll know if the problem

No, the battery does not power the radio and nothing indicates it is
connected or charging. If I unplug the radio it turns off.

So your Radio does in fact work with the battery, correct?
I'd just let it play for a few hours via battery then plug it in, see
if the indicator starts to show it is being charged.
I believe the batteries are shipped fully charged.

I received my Logitech accessory pack on Friday and the battery shows no
indication of charging. It is fitted correctly and I have tried it a few
times. Logitech are supposed to be calling back.
Is there anyway I can confirm it is a dead battery pack and not a
faulty Radio.
