I have Sonos and squeezeboxes and I ended up using more the
squeezeboxes. Sonos sounds better, sure but the controller and UI is,
imho not at the level of LMS + iPeng. I like the radio for their display
as bedclocks and the boom for the sound (I modified my booms so they

Same here...in no small part because the one Radio I bought only lasted
a few years before self-destructing. All my other Logitech hardware
still works.
Since no one could repair the radio, I "replaced"
There are many other reasons to stick with squeezebox other than just
the SB Radio.
How many other systems offer the availability of playing high resolution

Its the Touches that keeps me in line and LMS and iPeng .

What keeps me with LMS/Squeezebox is replacement costs with Sonos are
just way too high. I have two radios, a boom, a classic and two hacked
pogoplugs running squeezelite as my primary players. The costs for two

different "bells and whistles", but nothing

I love the flexibility of LMS. Especially the handling/organizing of my
collection (No, I haven't given up having my own collection yet despite
spotify and other services).
Just a detail as how it (optionally) handles "artist" vs. "album
artist", is... well great :-)

Honestly, in my opinion, the Radios are my least favourite players. That
said, I own two, one in the bathroom and one with several battery packs
for our garden deck. Our Nnightstand players are two Booms. One with a
subwoofer attached.
New setup:

I'll be honest, if it wasn't for the SB Radio, I would have jumped ship
and switched to Sonos a long time ago. Unfortunately, Sonos does not
offer a comparable product. Everyone in my family has a SB Radio on
their nightstand. We love these little boxes and would hate to give them
up. I think
