Is this a Squeezebox only shutdown or are they going away? I always had
high hopes, but their UI (in any format) has always been terrible and
their search unreliable.
I wish there was an easier way to stream old podcasts rather than
downloading them and playing them the MP3 directly.

If you are a user of the Mediafly App, they have sent out notices
indicating that they are terminating their service at the end of
March.
You can essentially replicate their service by adding the OPTML
addresses of your podcasts the the Podcast application already
available for your squeezebox in
