No luck. I changed the Stop/Pause CLI commands for the Touch to use the
IR-Emulation codes - same result.
It seems trying to stop the alarm by any other means than Pause on the
Touch remote or Powering off the Touch puts it into this state where,
the alarm keeps going off every minute after

Problem persists after updating. Again, this never happened on my Duet,
nor does it happen on my Radio, only the Touch.
Is hitting stop actually performing a Snooze instead of stop?
Even so, doesn't explain why it starts playing the default alarm again
shortly after.
What's even more strange is

Hi all,
I've recently acquired a Radio for my daughters bedroom. I have set an
alarm, playing a playlist that contains a single track. What happens is
that after this track plays, there is a period of silence, and then
another repeating audio sample plays.
The issue is, my daughter has now

Wow. Have they been using the same snippet? Did we pirate? How did you
find this? I'm... confused...

Ok, that's the right track. However, it's an 'instrumental' version that
the Radio is playing.
Where is it getting it from? Any way I can add it to a playlist myself?
Thanks

hi Andy,
We actually had rights to use that track, as well as using the Datarock
album
The issue is, my daughter has now taken a liking to this, and keeps
asking me to play it for her! I can't seem to find it anywhere (it's not
in the 'Musical Sounds' bit of 'Sounds Effects' which is where I
expected to find it.
You'd find it on your radio:

It's in the filesystem on the Radio itself, and I think the file is

Great stuff, I'll have to wait until I get home then (was hoping I would
be able to get it done from work and then surprise my daughter when I
get home).
Oh, and regarding any comments on her musical taste, she is only 4 :)

Oh sorry, I missed Michael's post up there. Yeah, everything he said,
You didn't miss it: it wasn't there yet when you posted. The mailing list
gateway had a hiccup - and I only noticed because I was wondering why you
had not read my post ;-).

Sorry to bring this up again, but the instructions above look to be just
what I need to kill the disco soundtrack which occasionally blurts out.
I've got into the Radio via Putty but once past the username/password
stage I'm completely lost. Does anyone know if there are any more
detailed
The main issue for me is not to trigger the alarm initially, usually is
starts to play the server music, then after a while sometimes something
happens that makes the Radio temporarily loose network connection, and
that triggers the fallback alarm and it never returns to the server
alarm any

The Manual says that you can set the default alarm sound.
Is this possible?
You can use the default alarm sound, choose to be woken by an item in
your Favorites - or you can a sound from Squeezebox Radios set of
musical sounds, natural sounds, or sound effects.

I read that a little differently. I read it as:
You can use
a) the default alarm sound (an electronic beeping), OR
b) choose to be woken by an item in your Favorites, OR
c) you can [choose] a sound from Squeezebox Radios set of musical
sounds, natural sounds, or sound effects.
You can set any

Make sure the current playlist is empty. Maybe my listing is wrong, and
it really defaults to the current playlist, and then only falls back to
the beeping only if the playlist is empty or
