I use the same nano router to bypass the internal wifi in the Radio.
Make sure the Radio is actually using the ethernet connection and not
attempting to use Wifi. If I recall the Radio does not always
automatically switch to the ethernet connection from wifi, so you may
have to manually select ethernet. A reboot (press and hold power
button, then turn on) of the Radio also my help.

Go to >advanced settings>diagnostics>network to see it if connecting to
MySB.com and if you are running LMS, it is also connected.

I hope this helps.

When DNS resolution fails, then there's likely a problem with your
Radio's network configuration. Did you recently change ISP or router? Or
did you manually configure the Radio's network settings?

[SlimDevices: Radio] DNS resolution failed for msqueezebox.com

2022-11-16 Thread birk1

Hello, We are new to this forum and not techie at all. We've had a
Logitech Squeezebox Radio for over a decade and it's worked great for
most of that time. Over the past year or so, we've noticed some
connectivity problems, from periodically dropping the radio signal to
losing connection to my squeezebox. We haven't had time to look into
this until now. In looking at several articles on this website, we
attached a tp-link nano router (TL-WR802N) to the radio via the ethernet
port to see if that would help. The connection to the nano router is
okay and the nano router is connected to the internet. The radio gives
the message "DNS resolution failed for mysqueezebox.com". We're not
able to update any software or firmware because we can't get to
mysqueezebox.com. We have rebooted our main router, the nano router and
squeezebox and still the same message. We have Apple computers and
checked that the website isn't blocked. We love the radio and would be
delighted if we could get it working again. Any advice would be greatly
appreciated, though it would be even better if stated very plainly.
Thanks!
