That would certainly explain it! If there's no voltage, you know it's a
dud power adaptor. Even if you get 18V open-circuit, the adaptor may not
be delivering this under load, so

My radio has been periodically disconnecting from my wifi for a while.
Now if won't reconnect. It sees my wifi signal, however once I enter my
password and click to connect, the busy icon spins for a while, then
says it can't connect. I know it isn't a password issue, but just to be
