Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Someone else is playing my SBR

2010-01-12 Thread Clowncar

A little update:

I've got mail-contact with Logitech-support for almost a week now, and
apparently another SBR was connected to my account (how the hell did
that happend?).

Anyway, the tech-guy disconnected the other SBR from my account and I
thought it was fixed. Boy, was I wrong. Tonight, the dutch IP is back.
Again.

Im thinking of throwing the SBR against a wall.

Had you configured them to play synchronously ?
(I'm not sure if synchronized playback is supported on MySB.com, but if
it is, it sounds like this could be the explanation)

Is it reproducible or did it only happen once ? If it is reproducible
and they aren't configured for synchronized playback you really should
report this as a bug on http://bugs.slimdevices.com, just make sure that
it's not already registered as a bug first.

jimbo,
sounds very interesting. Like Nizque, I would appreciate a more
detailed instruction on how to backup my favorites...
Cheers, Mat (noob)

Indeed ;)

I tried to save the opml version of my favorites from mySB instead.
Still cannot import them on my SBS in NAS.

I then set up a new SBS on Windows XP, and tried it there, still import
error.
So, it's (likely) not the SBS in PC or NAS, it's the file I get wrong.
Appreciate any help here.

Great idea Jimbo!
I tried it at once, but failed badly. Noob to SB, sorry. I have not yet
really understtod the relationship between mySB and SBS, and why the
favorites are not shared, but..
1)
First, I took the favorite list that I had created on mySB.com and
saved those entries into a regular text file. (just the URL:s)

2)
Named the file like you wrote, and put it in reach of my SBS. However,
I'm running SBS on my QNAP NAS, and the web interface might not look the
same as for you. Then I tried to import, but that did not work, error.

Questions:
* Do you know why the favorite lists on mySB and in SBS are not
sync:ed? The SBS is connected to my mySB.com account for sure.

* Any format on the text file content that I missed? Now it's only URL,
no station name info (which is editable in mySB interface anyway)

* from mySB, the URL looks a bit funny,
"http://opml.radiotime.com/Tune.ashx?id=s1139&partnerId=16"; is an
example.
Does the needed part not end after the id=s1139? Looks like it saves
_how_ I found the channel, another example
"http://opml.radiotime.com/Tune.ashx?id=s25681&partnerId=16&filter=s:popular";

LOL, could not have a URL here with "=s:" and "popular" together,
that turns into :p
:)

TIA

Hi all

save your favorites into 2 text files titled infobrowser.opml and
infobrowser.opml.backup. (Same data in each file). Use the export
function in Settings in your squeezebox server.

Now in the settings if your favorites get lost for any reason you can
re-import them.

I called the swedish tech support and they didnt have any solution. I'll
mail the english tech support now and see if they got any solution. But
from what I can see, the SBR is working properly now. But I dont want to
change everything again in a couple of days.

Think the third party Squeeze plugins and applets are important?
Then 'vote for bug 14194'

Sounds like you should contact Logitech support, I think there have been
other users having similar issues and I think it required Logitech to do
some configuration for the specific player on the server side.
