Bill,

I can just visualize people missing the chipmunks. I received my chuckle for
the day.

Thanks, Dan. You got me looking in the right places. All I had to do was go
into the server's services settings and set the "Windows Audio" and "Windows
Audio Endpoint Builder" services to start automatically. The redirection
apparently was already set.

By the way, that was Sami Aaron's wav file, contributed at an R:BASE
developers' conference at least 10 years ago, a chipmunk voice saying "oh oh."
People missed it, and came running to me saying "it doesn't give us the 'oh oh'
alert when we type something wrong."

SET ETHEREAL_SOUNDS ON, maybe?

Is that accurate? Who else has done this? Is there a workaround?

Here's a typical command:

  SET VAR vPlay = (GETVAL('PlayAndExit','sounds\error.wav'))

RE: [RBASE-L] - "In the Cloud" sound effects

2017-04-21 Thread Dan Goldberg
Are you using remote desktop?

If so, the client will need to make sure sound is turned on.

[cid:image001.png@01D2BA8D.DF869560]

It also needs to be turned on at the remote desktop server settings as well.

[RBASE-L] - loaddirectoryname

2017-04-21 Thread Tom Hart
Using loaddirectoryname plugin if I set |CREATE_FOLDER_ICON on it allows me
to create a new folder(named 'new folder'), but not name it. Is there a
way to name it or do I have to click on it and rename it. Using X
Enterprise.
