Re: [RBASE-L] - Crystal Reports ODBC Error 08004

2017-08-24 Thread A. Razzak Memon

Doug,

Did you know that you can design and deploy very cool and complex
R:BASE reports using R:BASE X
and R:BASE XE (Version 10) Report Designer? Have you explored all
possibilities in RBGX/RBGXE?

FWIW ...

When sharing a database in a LAN environment with fully licensed
version of RBGX/RBGXE on each
workstation, each workstation MUST be configured with defined System
DSN or DSN-Less connection.

If everyone is using the RBGX/RBGXE on sever (Server installation),
then the server itself MUST

be configured with System DSN or DSN-Less Connection.

Hope that provides you with some blue's clues ...

Very Best R:egards,

Razzak

True, STATICDB is ON for all users, but we we're only reading data.

Re: [RBASE-L] - Another Enhanced DB Grid Question

2017-08-24 Thread karentellef via RBASE-L
Paul: is this happening only after someone selects your "update" button? If
the "update" button is changing the table data, are you then refreshing the
data in the grid? If you aren't, then that's the problem.

Have the button do its updating code then either PROPERTY TABLE
'REFRESH' or if that doesn't work do a 'CLOSE' / 'OPEN'

Otherwise, what RBase is telling you is that the button updated the underlying
code, but your grid still shows the previous values so it's correctly letting
you know of the mismatch.

[RBASE-L] - Tip of the Day: Added "Apply" Button to Form Properties Dialog

2017-08-24 Thread A. Razzak Memon

Thursday, August 24 2017

Tip of the Day: Added "Apply" Button to Form Properties Dialog
Product...: R:BASE X and R:BASE X Enterprise (Version 10)
Build.: 10.0.2.20731 or higher
Section...: Forms
Keywords..: Form Designer, Form Properties

Did you know the Form Properties dialog was improved to include an
appropriate "Apply" button,

to preserve and/or visualize the effects of each new change?

Every tab in the Form Properties dialog now include an Apply button
to see any changes without

having to exit the dialog.

Within the Form Properties users can customize the form size,
caption, caption buttons, color,
closing behavior, and much more. The Form Properties can be accessed
directly from any form
background space by right clicking on the background and selecting
"Object Property". In some
forms, you may have less room after placing a great number of
objects. Another method to open
the Form Properties is by using the "Edit" toolbar and selecting the
"Form Properties" button.
You can also set the Form Properties by selecting "Tools" > "Object
Property" from the main

Menu Bar, or by simply pressing the [F11] key.
