About a year ago I built up a wheel with the DH-3N72 and have been
using it on my "around-town" bike. It's been working well so I
built-
up this new front wheel with the intention of using it on my tourning
bike (Atlantis). Well - I decided that the shiny SON hub would look
better with the rear

I'm running a 42 ring up front with a Phil fixed 17t in back
currently, although I put a Dos Eno 16/19 on the original wheel set as
well. I live in flat Northern VA, and never used the 34t ring up
front, and decided I needed more gear inches than the stock 40/18 60
inches. I also had issues with

I rode the new set of tires for 65.4 miles today and LOVE them. 65 PSI was
excellent. They are plush over coarse paving, climb very well, corner like a
cat chasing its dinner and are as fast as anything else I could be riding.

I put some Big Apple Liteskin 26x2.35's on myrigid Salsa mountain
bike. I can't compare them to the regular BA's, but these tires are
awesome. They are fast on the pavement and great on trails. Not as
grippy as knobbies but not slippery either. Perfect tires for my
multi surface rides.

Wed and Thurs: AHH, with a commuter mode set up centered around little loafer
front and big loafer rear with shock cords on top of each. The AHH also has
what Rivendell called a flawed Keven's bag that they sold cheap and recommend
for use on the handlebar, which I do. All
+1 to Aaron.
I also have used 10-speed Campy shifters with 9-speed Shimano cassettes
and rear derailleurs, using the Jtek Shiftmate gizmo -- and it works
flawlessly for me, too.
Why try all these kludge solutions, when the Jtek is inexpensive and
works so well?

I rode the All-Rounder to work for the first time since minor back

How did "y'all" do?

The last big, organized ride I did was ridden on the All-Rounder with
big tires, fenders, saddle bag, albatross bars. Rode with a buddy on
a single speed MTB on road tires. Towards the end of the day we were
riding down a peaceful, winding, tree lined road and noticed the
person to our left was o
all this 650B hype has got me planning. And I had just told my chief

The 10 speed Campy shifter to 8 speed shimaNo cassette is very common
in the drop bar MTB set. You get the clean routing up front that won't
snag trees and plants and the ability to use a 34 tooth cassette.
Campy's biggest offering is a 13-29. I'm running that on my Tandem
with an 9 speed XTR rear
Here's a blog post from a good bike shop in Iowa City that has done
several "Shimergo" conversions -- Campy 10-spd brifters to Shimano 8-
speed casette . . .
