This is a custom All Rounder built with Reynolds 753 tubing and 531
blades. This is an older, Waterford built Rivendell. Nice crisp lug
detail with very nice thinning. Gorgeous deep blue metallic paint with
cream details.
It's in great condition as the pictures show, with only a few nicks

I rode the D2 last year on my Bleriot (650B) and had the CDLV's
mounted. They were fine but I should add the conditions were dry and
generally good. Have since switched to Pari-Motos and much prefer
them for the road - not sure about mud. My sense is they would be
fine for the D2 but I can't

To post to this group,
What a nice bike. My first custom Riv Road, early 1995, was based on
the original AR, with 753 frame and 531 fork, 42.5 cm stays and (don't
remind Grant!) 54 c-c st, 56.5 tt -- the last 26 wheeled Curt custom
is a 58 and I ride a 60 cm Herse. Grant decreased the front-center
slightly and used road
I like the double cog in the rear, too. I think the chainline is
better, and the axle doesn't move in the dropouts. As you get bigger
tires and fancier fenders, you lose a lot of adjusting room. I use a
17x21 dingle fixed cog, and I have some different cranks with 40x44,
38x42, etc. The 32x21 was

for me. Incidentally, my setup offers nearly the same range as the stock QB
gearing of 40/32 x 18. I ride around town in 36x16. I only use the
Sorry to send to all, but I am not at all sure PMs are working.

One thing i've noticed is that people really like to keep the amount
of wheel movement to a minimum, either by taking advantage of small
teeth changes in the rear only, or keeping the front spaced really
close together. It makes me think that maybe switching to a single
ring up front would make
I haven't been able to do this or figure it out since the software change.
It seemed to be a non-issue before. Now I see that others are having the
same problem, particularly those wanting to buy stuff from sellers. I think
it may have something to do with how members set up their profiles,
I ran Kojaks on my Rambouillet. Those tires are fantastic.

Thanks. I hope to get a ride on the new tires tomorrow: too much work,
hacking to get the tires to fit the fenders/front rack, and car
trouble/conversations to find time today.
It's a custom made by Chaucey Matthews who lives in the area. It's
beautiful and stiff, but in hindsight I ought to have
I agree; I don't see the point of two rings on a ss/fixed (so called)
unless you want more than two ratios or if you want really big gaps,
say a high range for pavement and a low range for off road, with small
axle movement. You get a lot more variation for each tooth by
