After having read way too many posts, on various forums, about Brooks saddle care, I think the consensus is this: Whether you use Proofide or Obenauf's or neutral Kiwi shoe polish or some other treatment, use it sparingly and not too frequently. How much is sparingly? I like Grant's suggestion

I'm more confused now than before I started this topic. What I usually do is coat the bottom and leave it; coat the top, let sit overnight, polish off, then pretty much ignore Proofiding again unless it becomes painfully obvious it needs it. I guess I'll stick with that. On Monday, June 3,
