The quick answer is yes. :-)
I started with the touring pedals (still used on my bike in Hilo). Next I
moved to the Grip Kings which were a big improvement. Still not satisfied I
added pedal spikes to the GKs...much better. Then the Gripsters came out
and...well two of the four bikes I keep at
One concern for me is saddle height. With a 57cm Hilsen, the VPs would
probably have me lowering my saddle a smidge, and as it stands, with the
large saddlesack, I want as much space between the bag loops and the rack.
It's probably negligible. I also like how shiny the grip kings are. :)

I know this is almost off topic, but I've heard people complain about
slipping off wet Grip Kings. I rode mine 26 miles in the rain a couple of
weeks ago in Merrill proterras and never had a even a hint of a slip.

all spot-on - he's a great guy, an asset to all the communities in which he
lived, and a fun friend who will be sorely missed.
