After being inspired by Doug’s post on mini-tours I put together a round
trip overnighter out of downtown San Diego. Catching the 8:30 am train for
Irvine and then returning to San Diego at 3 pm the following day. Upon
arrival in Irvine I followed the San Diego River Trail to the coast.
Jim, your's is the (nearly) thankless job of herding cats and you do it
with grace. Thank you!

I prefer a short top-tube but I'm worried about how much seatpost will be
showing. I don't mind a lot of seatpost if the top-tube is sloped like a
modern MTB. Riv's 2/6 degrees just won't work with a lot of seatpost.
Actually, my primary concern is that I already have a set of Rich Lesnik

Has anyone run cross levers or interrupter levers on Albas? Just

the low aero position. I suppose road levers would have to be shimmed to
fit the Albas, which are MTB size. Again, anybody do this successfully?

Are you on one end or the other? Gonna have a go at it? It's certainly as safe
as anything as long as you stay aware of your surroundings. NYC drivers are a
bit aggressive but generally aware of you. That's bad if they're out to get
you, but more often than not it's good.
