I'm pleased to hear a 52cm Clem fits a bus bike rack... wish it were a few
inches shorter and fit properly in the racks on our commuter rail!

damn. i gave rivendell the wrong PBH figure when asking if a 56 AHH would
fit me, so they said yes and i got it, but after going back they said they
would have fit me to the 58. this is very tempting.

Bump of this topic, but I too have some old readers to part with. I have
Readers 28, 29, and 31-43. I also have an assortment of catalogs and
flyers. Same offer as Andy, I will ship if you pay. I live in Denver, CO,

Oh man there are lots of autocorrect false fixes in what I wrote.
Thanks, the Proto Clem was the gateway drug. Real pride of ownership thing. She

I can relate to working in the A/C on a bike. A couple of Fridays ago I had
cleaned up a bike for my neighbor's daughter and when it came time to
install new brake and shifter housings and cables, I brought the bike into

Nice article. I stopped by the Detroit Bikes retail store. Hip store with
leather, canvas, and Brooks, as well as some very functional bikes. Nice
folks running the store. I'd suggest a visit if you're in Detroit.

On Saturday,
I wondered if the Clem with its looong wheelbase would fit the racks on the
front of our local city buses. Today I found out. I discovered that the
buses on the route at the top of my street use a different style bus rack
than the buses of the semi-express route that I have used for my

Looks like your husband was having fun.
My wife put a stop to my indoor bike cleaning when overspray from the polish I
was using made the floor super slick and she almost killed herself slipping and
sliding across the living room.
Tools and such are still OK.

I started at about 7:10. Rain started for me on the full metric route
just as I was stopping at the last rest stop at noon; rained for maybe 4

I saw a guy with a blue custom, too. Maybe him?
I did'nt see any other Rivendells.

Well I completed the ride on schedule, getting back at 1:15, just before

got back before getting drenched. First 2/3 of the ride were dry, but

That was fun to watch! I was rather surprised to see:
— My Hunqapillar would have done just fine on the course, though with me on the
engine we would have finished one lap to their seven. Grin.
— The frequency of LCG up that muddy hill.
I was not surprised to see, but quite amazing to watch,

I have a set of Bosco Bullmooses for sale. These are the fillet brazed
ones. I bought them from Riv and used them for a couple years on my
vintage mountain bike. They are 58cm wide. There is newbaum residue on
them. $100 picked up in the East Bay. $115 shipped.

Right. Key word is "look". They look slow, too, to some who haven't ridden them.

The tread pattern on my RTP is the same as the one on my 700C Stampedes. A
fatter 26" tire with this minimal herringbone road tread will definitely
look pretty smooth.
Since this is RBW, here are their tips on tires:
