[RBW] How tall is too tall for a 55cm Appaloosa?

2017-02-08 Thread panog
I'm 6'-1'' with a PBH of 91.5 taken, as they say, "to the bone". Some time ago I test rode a Choko-Moose 62 and found the size very doable. The bike looks big and tall standing next to it but the choko-moose tames it when you ride it. A PBH of 91-91.5cm corresponds to the very end of size 58

No expert, but 55 seems way small. I'd ride a 55 and I'm 5'10 (ride a 54 hunq and 56 Sam for reference). I have to think 58 would be more comfortable for most riding. You could always use a shorter stem if you wanted to use dirt drop bars... -- You received this message because you are

I know Riv headquarters tends towards recommending larger sizes and it works well for some but not all. That said, I'm 6'1 1/2 and long limbs no torso. and have no idea what my PBH is, and I get different numbers each time I measure. I kind of dig the "dirt drop" style with more seatpost
