I just checked the list before I purchased a gift certificate. The value I get
just out of the newsletter and blahg is worth a lot. I hope Riv is able to do
what it takes to keep going and continue to provide unique and great products
with an amazing team and community. Thank you to everyone
I’m having a hard time believing a Fabio’s chest is 44 liters. I had one and
there were a number of things that I didn’t like about it. Mainly, the more you
pack in it, the weirder and more unweildy the shape gets. On my saddle, it
would almost turn slightly upside down when fully loaded. Also,
Man. I am torn. I’ve probably spent more money at Rivendell than any other
single business (besides maybe the grocery store) in the last 5 years. I bought
a bunch of gift certificates those months ago when things seemed dire (despite
being pretty broke).
I wish they’d hire a business

My 2013 had almost horizontal dropouts. 1997’ish has more vertical. Beautiful

Thanks Marty & all who put in orders.
Gentle bump reminding folks that sales will go to Riv’s register in form of a
gift certificate. Times ticking down on that! I’ll be putting in my order
shortly.
Thanks again,

That’s cool but I wasn’t talking about monetary contributions. I was just
annoyed by some of the more inflammatory anonymous commenters and the general
trajectory of the thread.

Update, some items are spoken for:

Campagnolo Ultrashift Ergos Veloce Black 10 Spd, bought 2011 ($50)

I find that thread to be VERY ignorant

I still believe that Rivendell is a great store and I appreciate the bikes

Bob, I appreciate your comment but one would be obtuse to forget that Riv

There is a PSA thread on this forum with a bunch of dating speculation. It
is a sweet ride. I wish RIV still sold a version of this.

Seller states that it's a 2008 but told me it has horizontal dropouts.
Would such dropouts date the bike to be a little older than 2008?
I'm surprised to that a discussion hasn't started on this side of the pond.
But hey, at least it's not another Paceline Rapha-related thread.
There's some quite good insight regarding Riv on that Paceline thread,

To answer a question not asked, I just want to give a shout out to Rivet. I
tried and used several Brooks saddles over the years (never a Cambian) and
discovered in getting my fit dialed in on my Cheviot, that the Rivet was a
better option, in good measure because its rails allow for being

Yes ! I do this with smooth post canti pads. I never ever ever found
any benefit to the long pads when they became a thing in the 90's. The
Suntour XC Pro original pads were Superbe Pro road sized and shaped and are
the best brakes I've used. The Kool Stops have an internal frame in the
