Honestly, if my bike gets stolen then it’s opportunity for an upgrade...
But when in questionable areas, I use the Sheldon Brown method that locks the
back wheel to a post with a (Kryptonite) mini U lock.

Ah I see that now. Shoulda read the whole thing. I have an analog stem that I
like a lot. It’d be cool to have a Nitto version, though I’d hope that analog
gets some credit or kickback for taking the (re-)initial plunge.

That particular bike (the owners bike, that has a few other "custom"
tidbits) is a threaded one, but yes, the Nor'easter is a threadless bike.
I wonder if these are done in conjunction with Analog based on the (W)right
stems? I think they were the re-instigiators of the minimal offset stems.
I too was very curious about this. It sure is pretty. That’s a quill stem on a
threadless (nor’easter is threadless right) bike though? How is that working?

I have had a few people recognize it and comment "nice Riv," but I agree,
from a marketing perspective.
On one group ride, someone was admiring my bike saying how lovely it was

Regarding the namesIn general , I find the gendered names of the frames
a little annoying. I always cringed that the earlier mixte was the Betty.
Applying masculine names to the other "normal" bikes is equally
problematic.
I love the names Atlantis, Saluki, Cheviot, Hunqapillar, etc.

This is true. My biggest gripe with the cantis I almost forgot about - it
cannot fit anything wider than 54mm according to their specs. I wanted to
make a canti RTP bike, but with fenders these cantis would not work either.

Aye, Garth. None of my lassies or wife wants a Clem L, but they all want a
Clementine. So far, the 3/5th of them that have a Rivendell (because they're
old enough to fit the medium, which is likely their adult size), have
Clementines. They'd rather buy a used Clementine than a new Clem L.

I liked the styles of the new bars but have now realized that they all
