Chris, Yes, the halfmitts allow for ease of gloved finger dexterity if
needed. I've not used them, but they are a windblock for the thumb as well
as a combined air pocket for four fingers to be added over a wool mitten to

FWIW, I've used aero brake levers -- the body and the hoods, with
levers proper removed -- on various bars for addtional hand positions.
I've not had any problem with the road-bar-width clamps slipping on
the "tourist" bar diameter, especially when installed at the curves.

Sorry Abe, the stock drivetrain is too good to change on my mustard Clem H,
plus I'm leaning towards selling that bike when the custom gets here so don't
want to muck it up too much. The Advent stuff with indexed shifter may see duty
