Hiya all. I'm assembling parts to go upright on my Sam Hillborne. Currently on 48 noodles and have always craved the lax look of folks riding upright with beautiful sweeping bars. Before buying new, thought I'd ask here if anyone has them preowned and sitting around. Albatross would be my #1,

SKS doesn't provide recessed nuts, correct. Sure you can buy a recessed nut, but the path of least resistance is going to the hardware store for the parts as Hoch suggested. AliExpress shipping from China takes forever. Recessed nuts nuts work great for brakes as it helps keep from rotating,

Nopers, the flat washer will butt up against that lip at the back of the fork easy peasy. The only reason it's recessed is the fork crown was designed to be used on caliper brake bikes, too, which uses the recess. You have the parts you need, no worries. On Sunday, January 1, 2023 at 3:00:39

You don’t need a recessed nut. Just go down to your local hardware store and get a bolt long enough with a nylock nut. And a couple of washers. Should cost you less than $5. I’d get stainless as well. On Sunday, January 1, 2023 at 2:48:34 PM UTC-7 Michael Morrissey wrote: > Hi, > > You

Hi, You probably need one bolt there - I think an m6 x 25mm would work. Something like this: https://www.perennialcycle.com/fork-crown-bolt-kit-fender-light-mounting.html You can probably find the bolt at any decent hardware store. Good luck. M On Sunday, January 1, 2023 at 12:06:02 PM UTC-5
