I just received an email from Meisha at Riv that there is no option of
purchasing a hoop for the "early" version of the HAR. :(
So it looks like I'll be weight weenie, like you guys. :)
Bummer, if I had wanted to be a weight weenie, I wouldn't have bought a
Hunqapillar! ;)

I was curious, because my Pass & Stow front rack came with carbon steel
bolts for mounting the supports to the eyes on the bottom of the fork.
But then again, I've seen photos of ridiculously heavy loads on Pass & Stow
racks, including people.
