Very good condition, used for a couple flights.
Hard shell airline or shipping case.
Has old owners name and info on it.
Can be sprayed over.
Will ship at cost but would be as much as shipping a whole bike.
$150
They sell new for over $400

Thank you,
That was a typo on my part Patrick.

I just measured 4 different quick release skewers here, Mavic, Campy and
Suntour, all are 5mm or slightly smaller (Mavic)
They are all pre circa 2000 skewers.
Do you have any other skewers you can test fit?

Jay,
When you say the skewer is too wide, are you referring to the diameter of
the skewer being too big around to slide through the hole in the axle or are
you saying that even with the nut screwed all the way down on the skewer it
won't close tight enough when you clamp down the quick
I had a Holdsworth which had a nice relaxed riding position, took long reach

A Raleigh International, similar to the Holdsworth.
I looked at a few Raleigh Grand Prixs that ticked the same boxes.

Back in the 80s, I ran ma-40s that Kieth Bontrager cut a rerolled down to 26"
rim diameter
I ran them on my mountain bike for 20 years and never had a problem with tires
coming off or the rims cracking.
I still have some of the Mavic MA-2s in that size and would not hesitate to
build them up
Years ago shimano made a chrome moly chain that I used to use on my tandem.
This was a six speed rear.
The chains outlasted any others by a fair margin.
Is there anything available today in 6-7-8 speed ilk that is comparable in
quality?

...I'm certain the Bay Bridge Troll would give his blessings.
I'll have to take a tandem trip just for the chicken and waffles, seems like a
great reason to go.

Anecdotally, my stoker noticed an improvement in comfort with a sprung flyer
over a non-sprung but well broken in B-17.
It's hard to say how measurable the suspension is but when you forget to
mention or don't see a bump in time and the stoker says "that wasn't bad", it's
worth having.

One use that hasn't been mentioned, I use an early Suntour power ratchet
thumbshifter for my drag brake on my tandem.
I'll definitely be in for a set or two.

The only difference I have noticed is when setting up new rakes and new rims, I
had slightly less brake squeal (until the pads bedded in) with machined rims.
My hypothesis was that the machined sidewalls worked the way a slightly scuffed
rim worked.
The difference was marginal and would not
No experience with the albastache but I used the moustache on my commuter for
many years.
With bar end shifters and brake levers on the curves, I found it to be the very
best bar I ever used for riding in heavy traffic.
The quick transition from shifters to brakes and the semi-upright riding

Joe,
The Washington Post ran a story today on a very large data breach
originating with Yahoo.
If you suspect that's where it came from you may want to update your password

I had one of those many years ago with a "Boxy Bag" Riv used to sell.
The bag had tubular channels for those rods to slide through.
My guess is any handy seamstress could modify most types of handlebar bags to
fit those rods.
That would open up numerous options for other bags.

I used to care about everything matching on my tandem but no longer.
I have a B17 on the front and a flyer? On the rear.
I haven't used a thud buster post but the last several stokers have said the
sprung saddle is very comfortable even when a bump appears too soon for

Patrick,
A number of years ago I bought a book bag from Duluth Pack, it has a
padded sleeve for a laptop and the 13" MacBook fits perfectly.
It will last a lifetime.
It doesn't have a waist belt but they will add custom features.

I've used the Ql1
Ortlieb sells their mounting hardware separately.

Shoulder straps are also available.

The Atlantis is a great bike but it was developed about 17 or 18 years ago.
Perhaps it has seen some tweaks and improvements over the years.
In the past 17 years Grant and the other employees and close friends have
logged thousands of hours riding the hills and the actual Mountain.

Having owned a custom Riv for over 15 years and looking closely at the Atlantis

The Appaloosa looks to be a tremendous value, much like the early Japanese made

I'm in exactly that position now.
I really like the Appaloosa but the smaller size seems just a little small,
while the next size up may have a bit too long of a top tube.
Has anyone had issues with that type of fit?
Seems like upright bars would negate a couple centimeters in top tube length.
