Leah, your trail system may hold an answer. I rely heavily on Facebook groups
for trail conditions & event / ride notifications. I have met many other riders
using these groups. Find those groups!

Has anyone else noticed a large majority of for sale bikes are on the large

Microshift thumb shifters. I like them! Where do most folks place them on
your Tosco / Bosco bars? Mine are on top about one inch beyond the first
downward bend ahead of the grips / brake levers. The shifting from this
location is ok if you are not in a hurry, which I basically am not. They

I would make an inquiry with the folks at Analog Cycles. They are the dirt drop
experts, esp. regarding upright positions.

Just 5 rides and 80 or so miles in and I am hooked. Normally there would be
too much snow/ice & salt on the roads in January to ride. I am having a
blast riding this bike, Tried it today with a partial load.

I have a 85 FacePlater 25.5 clamp brand new still in package - arrived from Riv
just today.
Andrew who I bought my Clem from has a Wavie he is not using. I also have a 90

I know I have mentioned these in my other conversations but these have
arrived from Rivendell & I do not need them so I am offering them here
before sending them back to Rivendell.
FacePlater stem, 85 length, 25.4 clamp. New in package, $140 shipped to US.
Bosco ChroMo 550 wide, 25.4 clamp. New
Damn that is beautiful.

Seriously! This Clem might just be perfect. I have been a cyclist (of
sorts) for more than 4 decades. This is the first bike I have owned that
does not give me some sort of hand problems, mostly numbness. If I stand
back and look at the bike it looks awkward with the high bars. People told
me
Wondering if there are any Clem L owners here using their rig for
bikepacking excursions? Seems like an ideal platform in spite of having no
space for a framebag nor fork mounted braze ons for anything or similar
cages. I am thinking of front and rear mimimalist racks from Tumbleweed as
they
Good Morning folks. So, I need a saddle for my new Clem. FYI, I have a SQ
Lab saddle on my Jones 29 and am very comfortable. But it is kind of ugly.
So, thinking of Giving a Brooks a try. B67 or B17? Pretty upright position
for this old man, Bosco bar with 85mm stem. Only move hands forward for
I never noticed this Crust bar before. But, since my (first ever) new
conversation seems to be in a holding pattern.., my new to me Clem came with a
65cm wide Tosco bar (similar) with 31.8 clamp size that is simply too wide for
me. I also have the 31.8 FacePlater stem in 135 length - too long
Yeah, so first thing first; I left my house at 7:30 this morning and drove
300 round trip miles from Toledo, Ohio to Midland, Michigan & back. I was
home at 1:00. Quick trip to bring home this Clem. I would post some nice
pics except it is pretty inconvenient as the pics are on my phone & I
I second the Cyclemeter suggestion. I was given a tip that if you operate it in
airplane mode it saves battery use. Also, you can set it to automatically
upload to Strava with the paid subscription which I highly recommend. And you
can upload routes as well though I have not tried to do so yet.
For a long time the original stuff was from Peter Weigle, I thought. Perhaps it
still is. Are Riv bikes not E.D. coated?
