When it comes to front load whether be a Riv or not, placement to the headtube or hub are key. Even with a basket and high trail, placement matters relative to how high stacked above or below the top tube. Then is that load close to the headtube or not. My best practice no matter the trail is

Paul, who did you speak with at Proteus? Reason why I ask is that just sounds like an odd time. I would like to contact them as I recommend them first in the area as to why this would happen. I wear their jersey on my cycling adventures. -- You received this message because you are subscribed

Head over to Proteus Bicycles. They are in College Park right next to MOMs Organics Grocers. Big parking lot, quick access to bike trail, shared bike rental, and Metro access near by. I recommend watching out for Buddy lol. The location is a new move for them. The original space was in the

[RBW] Is this Compass tire usable?

2019-08-13 Thread Wilson Wilson
Yes, yes it is. You do not need anything fancy. Cheap rubber patch kit and rubber cement. I am referring to the kinda kit you find in the gas station, not the ones with the orange edging or the green Slime brand ones. Just plane jane rubber patch kit. Cut patch to size, rubber cement onto patch

[RBW] tire sidewall separation

2019-08-13 Thread Wilson Wilson
The only time I have seen this happen is from a brake pad worn down, replaced new, or combination of rim worn concave at the brake track. I have had it happen on a tire which I later realized the wheel was not completely seated in the dropout. Again, forcing the brake pad to come in contact

Wider tire on smaller rim yeilds smaller overall tire width, but increases height. i.e. WTB Nano 700x40 on a vintage Rigada 1320 yeilds a tire width of 30-32 depending on pressures. A narrow tire on a wide rim increases width of tyre, but decreases height. Velocity Dyad with Conti 700x28 yeilds
