I just bought a new Jeep Wrangler and I love it. My wife has a Thule hitch rack but whether the rack is in the up or down position, the rear gate will not open with the rack on. I see there are spare tire mounted racks, but I don't think the gate should have that extra weight on it. Are there any hitch racks that will allow the gate to open? Of course the rack has to accommodate a bike with fenders.
