Karl, that is a lovely, lovely bike indeed. We'll want to hear all
about how it rides compared to your other bike(s).

meanwhile, I note with interest the striking similarity in appearance
between the Brooks and Cardiff(/VO/whomever else, this saddle is made
in one Taiwanese factory and marketed under more than one brand name)
saddle.

I have so far remained loyal to Brooks, both my Rivs and my Xtracycle
have them and frankly my worker discount helps a lot here. But I would
be interested in comparing various aspects of the ride on a Cardiff/VO
saddle, including break-in time and longer-term comfort and durability
under DAILY riding conditions. Anyone out there riding a non-Brooks a
LOT, and liking it? Comparisons, please.

Off to do roving mechanic duty at Portland Sunday Parkways today, on
my Xtracycle fitted with tools, mini-repair stand (and, of course,
coffee holder), atop my springy Brooks Flyer saddle.
