Chris, did you strap your downtube battery to your rear rack using its
downtube radle to secure it? Any special technique?

Get a rear rack and mount the battery there. I have a large downtube battery
mounted on a Riv similarly and it works great. I have ridden bikes with
downrube batteries mounted to the frame and the weight distribution when
mounted to a rear rack isn't very different, especially on my Atlantis.
Never ended up using that system... opted for a Copenhagen wheel instead.

Ours is a 52cm Clem L. Would you supply me with a photo of your installed

Which size Clem L? I had measured mine for a Bionx kit and it looks doable
by adding one braze-on south of where they placed the original water bottle
braze ons...
Mind you this is an OG size large Clementine...so could be different than
the current offerings.
I was going to use a brass
Yeah, you'd have better luck with that battery Luna sells that mounts to
magnets..you can slide the battery up and back more to get it to fit. But
bollocks on that, a GBW would be a great eRiv!

Yes, and what worries me is the "sliding distance" required before secure
attachment of that battery. Btw, I'm very attracted to the Riv GBW. Talk
about placing the body inside the cockpit instead of perched upon it!
Dave, who has a MIT Sam Hillborne similarly equipped right now (and with
40mm
Also check the unit's cable lengths, that they will reach around.

I haven't but you should be able to measure and guess. I looked that battery up
and the length is 368mm or a about 14.5 inches. Now the problem you're going to
have is determining how that battery will fit between the headtube and where
the curve kicks up on the toptube. If you have 17 inches
We're exploring whether the Clem L would allow the mounting of a EM3ev 36V
(10S5P) Super Shark Ebike battery on the "top tube". If so, we'd link it to a
geared front-hub motor. Has anyone tried to mount such a battery to the Clem L?
