I'm in the third week of a month long "test" of the low carb high fat eating plan (consistent with "Eat Bacon Don't Jog.") Some observations: I have consistent high quality level of energy - no more more big fluctuations based on meals.
Soreness and achiness are greatly reduced even though I am getting regular, quality exercise (weight training, track intervals, an 8:30 200K ride last weekend and an 8:15 hilly 150K this weekend). My mood is upbeat - not weirdly happy- just contentedly mellow/ more relaxed. It is possible to do long rides on less than 30 grams of carbs without bonking. Oh yeah - I also dropped 13lbs and it all seems to have come from the midsection. True story. No BS.
