I had heard BikeSpot was good as a shop (recommended by a local Riv rider I
met also). I would trust them to work on my bikes, but I wasn’t sure how
they were as a packer. I would not trust the Skagit Cycle here due to
another experience I had there.

There are two bike shops in Anacortes that would be worth checking with about
shipping. Bikespot is a small shop, but the customer service is stellar.

5'10" as well and I've had a 56 and 58 and went back to the 56 simply
because I like 26" wheels. They both worked well for me. It's just a wheel
thing.

Also 5’10, ride a 56 and could go 58 pretty easily. I wouldnt worry about that
