Hi gang Further adventures in gear tinkering have left me with an extra cassette, an M8000 Deore XT 11-42t in good, clean condition (although the lockring has some scuffage). This will fit onto standard "8/9/10" era freehubs.
Give or take on the philosophical question of an 11t cog, I really do like the overall spread on these in modern 1x11 speed setups. I've run this cassette interchangeably on both Sram Apex-1 and Shimano-drivetrained bikes. But, being in a situation of "5 (11sp) cassettes, 3 wheels" here, one of these extras should probably go.
