There are ways of lessening the wind influence, as the wind is felt
strongest on Marine Drive. It's more manageable (usually) to deal with
headwinds inland. So you could go out with the wind on Marine Dr, then
cross over the I-5 or 205 bridge to ride Old Evergreen on the Washington
side. Or make it
As of today, it's looking like at least showers, so perhaps the wind won't be a
factor. I guess since I'll be riding upriver and back, at least one leg will be
into a headwind ...

I'd like to be able to come, as I have Friday off, but I have a commitment
right around noon, so don't know what time I could show up.
Eric, if you do ride along the Columbia, my word of wisdom would be to
figure out which way the wind is blowing. The wind can be pretty fierce

Hey Eric, have fun on Fri. Unfortunately I can't ride that day. Hopefully
you'll have good weather. Enjoy your trip. Go to Velo Cult if you get the
chance. Definitely take transit out to Troutdale and avoid all the junk
miles (riding through the city).

along the Columbia River. Anybody interested in joining me, or who has

transit towards Troutdale to reduce in-town miles) can contact me off-li
