A sliding dropout that splits to allow the belt through the stays might work. I
think (cursory googling) that the Paragon one would only work with 142x12
axles, which sounds like a new wheel and a reset rear triangle.

You'd need some way to displace the right chainstay for mounting/removing the
belt, which would be very custom, and likely very expensive. I think you'd be
better off selling the bike for one with a belt.

I’m interested in what the advantages are, and how they would justify the
expense of some pretty significant modifications to your QB to make them
worthwhile. I think I’ve read that a belt drive is actually not as efficient
as a traditional chain?

I'm once again considering having my Quickbeam modified to use a belt
drive. I saw
a ton of them at NAHBS and a carbon belt seems to make a lot of sense over
a chain.
I suspect that the frame modification will be major.
Does anyone have any advice on this?
