I made a poor man's version of loop bar for my recent 6-hour trip by adding some old bar end grips to Alba. I think I used the loop area for about 20% of the times. Ideally for a long frame like Appa with some load, the loop needs to be wider. I do think overall it looks ugly, but an

Thanks Chris. I didn't make that clear in my original post so I am glad you clarified this. This is the reason I haven't used them on my Riv is because of the size. That is why I purchased the Map/Ahearne for the quill stem that I own. On Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 10:35:14 AM UTC-4, Chris

I have three pair of Metropolis bars because they are my ultimate bar. After paring down my bikes to one Brompton and one Rivendell, the FSA's are sitting in a parts bin. I figure some day I will use them again. I did purchase the Map/Ahearne bars for the Riv because they resemble the

Sadly I won't have an opportunity to spend another $50 on handlebars because Metropolis because it is 31.8mm clamp diameter. (I don't know if a dirt drop like quill stem with 31.8 clamp) Make it $170, because I would have tried Jones H loop too if it was 25.4 -- You received this message

I recognize it, that's a Surly Open bar. Note the larger curve radius and the greater sweep back angle(53deg) than the Ahearne bar(41deg). It's also wider @ 66cm. If I get a Clem or -L this is thar bar I will get. It comes in back or silver with or w/o 40mm rise, and it's steel so I can run
