I know the silver lever part has some lateral play. They can wiggle by hand
a little side to side. Since they are mounted sideways on your bike, I
wonder if the rattling is from the levers being jounced.

Remove plastic D shaped thingy.
You should only see spring inside after.
Thats how RBW did mine.

Rattly levers on moustache bars. I haven’t noticed that with my couple
different sets of non-aero levers. I’d probably try an Ultegra lever, assuming
tighter tolerances.
I might also disassemble the rattling lever and see if a couple layers of Tyvek
(fed ex envelope) as bushings/shims might
Ah, the brakes in the uprights of the new Moustache bars. Gotcha. I want to the
brakes in the curves. Apart from fast stopping in traffic, the only time I need
my front brake is steep, often jouncy technical descents, and grip of the bars
is far better in the curves than the upright/back
Ah - I meant mtb levers on the
Albastache bars. I ask because I’m considering doing that on mine, using them
as a more racy albatross. I know 23.8 clamps on mtb levers are few and far
between, but there are some available. Just curious -I know albastache a we’re
intended for road levers.

Tom, They’re Shimano Tiagra brake levers. Aye, I’ve ridden MTB levers on the
original Albatross my Hunqapillar came with, they wouldn’t work in the curves
on the new Moustache bars. Why do you ask?

Patrick, can def. see the weight shift - but I guess hard to tell how much
more than you'd normally shift while descending that pitch on any bike.
