I came to the Rivendell party after the Bleriot was out of production. Tried to
buy one locally but the seller was waffling on the sale and backed out.

My RBW Blue Cheviot is metallic, and I'm pretty sure the grilver on several
recent Rivs is, too. As was the bronzey green Cheviot and Clem L.

I love how the metallic finish is so bright in the daylight.
I wish RBW would go back to metallic finishes. Gives the colors a nice
depth that flat does not.

I still have my original Nleriot, the only Riv I kept after back surgery.
Still unable to ride but not ready to part with it. I agree it is the best
riding Riv that I have had.

I still have my 57 and commute on it regularly. For my money, the Bleriot
was one of the best riding bikes Rivendell has ever produced - comfortable,
nimble, room for wide tires, and really beautiful - and it's a pity they
don't make it anymore.
