I think 44cm noodles is right at the minimum of what I'd consider running a fanny on. On my 42 noodles, the bag fits with space, but I definitely notice it's there, and there is some rub on my fingers if I wrap them around the ramps. Also, the side pockets are very finicky with 42s, couldn't say
