That looks great. Good work!
Interesting and elegant build to match the interesting and elegant lugs and
dropouts.

I had the crankset on hand waiting for a project worthy of it, mainly. It's
certainly unnecessary, but I also have a dingle and flip-side cog on this
giving a lot of possible gearing choices. The overall tooth calculations:
42 + 16 = 58 (72 gear inches)
36 + 16 = 52 (62 gear inches)
36 + 19
Today, yes. In general, probably not. :)

Jeremy: that's an elegant chainring and crankset. Question: Why 3 rings
instead of a Dingle and a flip-side cog? You get more gear ratio change for
your units of axle movement when you change the # of teeth at the rear,
compared to the front.
I've thought of commissioning a multispeed fixed hub

Are we going to see this on Caltrain?

They're Dixna cross levers. I think your Merry Sales dealer should be able
to order them, though I don't see them on the somafab web store. I'll post
a report on them once I've got some time with them.

I take part of this back. I would not expect outer chainring/inner cog to
work: chain too short.
Now for some more coffee.

It was theoretically set up for outer/outer, middle/inner, inner/other
side. However, I would expect middle/outer and outer/inner to work as well
- but no real reason to do it.

Here's the crankset. My shop had to machine down the TA chainring for a
better match to the shape of the crank spider. In the back, it's a White
DOS 19/19, and on the other side of the wheel a 22t freewheel.
By the math, assuming an 8t max adjustment range, it should work, but I
haven't yet
Well done! It’s a Tringlespeed! Looks like a lot of fun. Curious if the
triple/triple gearing is fully functional within the adjustment range of the
track ends/dropout slots or is each combo gear ratio & chainline specific?
i.e. outer/outer, middle/middle, inner/inner?

Gorgeous. What are those interrupter levers? Modern guidonet levers of some
kind? Look awesome. Would love to hear about functionality of those levers once
you get some miles in on this bike.
Thanks,
Leif

A beautiful and interesting build! I second the motion for close-ups of
that drivetrain.

Very sharp, indeed.
When I see bikes this pretty, I'm always glad they're not in my size, so I
don't have to covet
